|| The Katara Clan ||

The Katara clan is an average sized clan, it resides in Sanjougakure. The KAtara Clan is quite popular in Sanjougakure, many know about it. Two of the honored members in the clan are Katara, Satoshi and Katara, Hitachi. This clan is well known for their bloodline, called the Akumume.

The clan dates back before Sanjougakure had been founded. No one knows how this kekkei genkai originated.

Katara clan members specialize in genjutsu as well as ninjutsu. The Akumume is a recessive trait, only 4 out of every 10 people should more likely possess the bloodline ability. Those with the kekkei genkai usually have white hair and blue eyes.

|| The Bloodline ||

The Akumume, is literally translated into "Nightmare Eye". When using it, the eyes turn into a dark blue color with a swirl looking thing in the center. Those who possess this bloodline has the ability to strike fear into their targets mind, sending them visions nightmarish events. This causes the target to be completely paralyzed by fear, leaving them vulnerable to any attacks, along with giving the target a terrifying vision that has never happened.

Users of the Akumume are also able to look into the target's/opponent's sorrowful past, if they have any. Also, users of the Akumume can look into any memory the opponents, and have them revealed. Members of the Katara clan can be considered psychic because of this, but they are unable to look into the future.

In order for the Akumume to work, the target must have direct eye-contact with the user, otherwise, the bloodline is completely useless.
