PostSubject: Koorikage's Office   Sun Jun 08, 2008 4:16 pm

Although most visitors would expect it to resemble an ice fortress, it isn't much different from the main lobby. Like other offices, the wooden desk is located across the room from the entrance. (Respective to the entrance view)There is a beige wood love-seat sofa by the left wall, a formidable collection of scrolls and other texts on the right wall, and a crystalline statue of a female angel on the adjacent wall. Each of the four walls dons a torch lamp light. Rumor has it that something special will happen if all four lights were ever turned on at the same time, but no one except the kage and those he chooses know whether this is true or not.

The current Koorikage, Kain Aido, was stamping papers for approval quickly after taking a look at them all. The workload was small today, and he wanted to finish quickly and be free for the rest of the day. Aido glanced to the folder lying on the upper left of his desk. Another mission, this time for his daughter. He was sure she was bored out of her mind and wanted to do something exciting. Kain inwardly sighed. Raising a daughter by yourself was harder than it seemed. He hardly knew if he was doing right. The Koorikage looked at the clock placed above the door; when would Yukiko come?

Quickly heading toward the building's main entrance was none other than the kage's very own daughter, Yukiko, wasting no time as she entered the building. At a slightly far distance behind her was a random shinobi, most likely her body guard, trying to keep up with the young jounin's pace.

Being the daughter of the Koorikage, as well as the granddaughter of the country's daimyo, Yukiko's father felt the need to have someone watch over her where ever she goes. The Aido jounin did try her best to avoid them, at least until she eventually found her own body guard. Now that guard Yukiko chose for herself had gone missing, as he usually does quite often, and when ever this would happen, the kunoichi would always head to her father's office first.

She moved through the main lobby quickly with her silk cloak flowing behind her like a cape. As usual, she ignored the "hello's" and "good day's" she received from those who worked around the office. Yukiko went up a few flights of stairs, with her guard lagging behind. After going through a few corridors and more stairs, she eventually came to a grand set of double doors that were different from the rest that were in the building. Coming from down the hall, Yukiko could hear the random shinobi that had been following her all day.

"Yukiko-sama! Wait for m-" Before the guard could finish, Yukiko had gone into the room and slammed the door in his face. All he could do then was stand there and wait for her to come back out, and hopefully before that time, the pain on his nose would go away.

Now the young jounin stood in the office, which resembled a smaller version of the large lobby downstairs. In front of her was a large, wooden desk, in which her father sat at as he did his usual paperwork. Right now, he appeared to be staring at the clock. Was he waiting for something?

Yukiko crossed her arms and let out an inaudible sigh before she spoke.

"Father..." she started. Her tone was very calm, but it had that slight hint of demand in it. "I demand to know what has happened to my body guard this time."

"The idiot? It wasn't my work this time so I wouldn't know, though it doesn't quite matter to me as long as he's not with you. For all we know he could have locked himself in the freezer. You came right when I was thinking about you." The Koorikage said to the girl as he stood up from his desk with the folder in his hand. Moving to the front of the desk he passed it on to his daughter. In the white light from the outside that filtered through the room, he could see that Yukiko really resembled her mother Manami. That cute and slightly annoyed face of theirs was exactly alike.

If he had nothing to do with the disappearance of Taichi, then why was the shinobi in the hall claiming to be her body guard? At the other side of the door, Yukiko could hear the ninja humming loudly to himself. She sighed and looked at her father. Hopefully her real body guard will turn up somewhere soon.

Just as the man stood up from his chair, the girl immediately put her guard up. Yukiko was always cautious around her father, for if she had her guard down for even a second, his arms would be around her in what she calls a "death hug."

Her guard slightly lowered when she was passed a folder. She looked at it before opening it to read its contents.

"A mission?" Yukiko questioned as she flipped through the pages. It was about time she received a mission. Training everyday was starting to get a little tedious."What am I doing this time?"

"This time you'll be on a retrieval and reconnaissance mission. The circus tent that had moved here to Hyougagakure five years ago has just opened. A client has reported a scroll being stolen from them by a member of the troupe, and they would like it back. All you have to do is find the scroll, enjoy yourself at the circus, and return the scroll. That is all." The Koorikage reported. Why anyone from the circus would want to steal he didn't know, but a mission was a mission.

A really angry light blue-haired man in his late 20s stormed across the main lobby. He looked frozen and stiff, as if he was stuffed into a freezer. His destination? The dreaded Koorikage's Office to give the man there a peace of his mind. The onlookers and bystanders stood in fear, hoping not to anger the man as he glared at them. As he was stomping towards the office he sees another ninja humming loudly and quickly shoved him after growling, "Get out of my way!"

He opened the door roughly and shouted, "DAMMIT OLD MAN, IT'S GETTIN- Oh, the brat's here too."

((And here we welcome Taichi!))

So she was going to the circus? Although the carnival had been opened for a while now, Yukiko had never stepped foot past those gates. She was always off on missions or training, and never really thought of going there whenever she would relax by the fireplace.

"I see... Do we have any idea what this scroll looks like? Or does?" Yukiko asked as she looked up from the folder. This mission sounded very simple, but she would prefer to know as much information as she can.

Before she could hear an answer, loud thumping noises out in the hallway. She turned around, curious as to what that noise was. The loud humming coming from the other side of the door was no more as a thud could be hurt a moment later. The door suddenly swung open and slammed against the wall. It might be hard to tell because of the newcomer's yelling, but Yukiko could have sworn she heard something snap. She looked at the doorknob. It would be best if the man did not close the door, for there might be a hole in the kage's wall.

Ignoring the possibly hole in the wall for now, the female jounin finally looked at the man. It was none other than Taichi, who seemed very upset about something. Perhaps his disappearance was her father's doing after all?

"Ah, Taichi, there you are. I was just about to go out and look for you." she said as she walked toward him. The man looked a bit frozen and stiff, as if he had stood outside for a long period of time. Yukiko looked at him questionably. Taichi was not one who would stay outside, and even if he were to train, he would use the indoor training grounds in the Aido Estate.

"What has happened to you? Have you been standing inside of a freezer?" Of course, Yukiko was only joking about the freezer. There were some other reasonable explanations.

Being the doting father that he was, Aido became a blur as he immediately ran over to his daughter to embrace/protect Yukiko from the ex-assassin Taichi. He scowled while looking at the light-blue haired bodyguard.

"It's a shame that you weren't turned into a pop sickle in said freezer. Yukiko is mine. As for the scroll, I've been told it resides in a red steel box. The scroll itself dons a opalescent silk backing."

"Oh you have no idea brat. I do believe your oaf of a fa....SO YOU DO ADMIT IT OLD MAN! YOU DID PUSH AND LOCKED ME IN THE FREEZER OR AT LEAST YOU TOLD SOMEONE TO!!" Taichi then calmed down abit. "You can have her for all I care, I'm not complaining,"

So Taichi really was stuck inside of a freezer. How ironic. Yukiko thought he had fallen in a lake or something.

Before she could even realize it, her father had his arms around her, embracing her protectively. The young woman did dislike it when the man did this sort of thing. She could hardly breath sometimes. Whenever this would happen, the female jounin would wonder if her father knew how tight his grips were on her.

"Ugh... Father... Why must you do this now?" the Aido girl muttered as she tried to pry her father off of her. "Release me at once!"

While trying to get free, she Yukiko noticed Taichi's uncaring attitude towards her. She pouted slightly at this. With her free hand, she formed a small sphere of ice in her hand, about the size of a big marble. She flicked it at the exassassin's forehead, and should cause a slight bruise. Kain should be happy about this.

Before Taichi could complain more about Yukiko, the said person flicked an ice marble at him. She aimed perfectly on the middle of his forehead, leaving the spot bruised.

"OW! What was that for...." Taichi started and rubbed his aching head. He continued to mutter comprehensible words.

With his dislike for Taichi temporarily appeased, the Koorikage released Yukiko and went into a "Bonsai" pose with his arms in the air. She was finally starting to see the jerk in her profound bodyguard. Of course, Kain can never say the real reason in detail why he dislikes Taichi so much, so for now he'd just have to make do with bullying the white-haired man.

"It'd be best if you two get going as soon as possible. You'll have to fill the idiot in on the details of the mission on your way to the circus."

[[Sorry for it being so short >.<]]

Kira and his older brother, Shin, both walked across the main lobby towards the stairs up to the Koorikage's office. Shin wanted to ask the Koorikage if he could give Kira a mission to go on, so he didn't have to see his younger brother isolate himself in his room for awhile. Kira, of course, wanted to go on some kind of mission, but not at the moment. He was in a really cranky mood now, because Shin pulled him out of bed to come and talk to the Koorikage. When they reached the stairs, they began to walk up them as Kira sort of glared at his brother.

"It's times like this, when you force me out of bed to do something, that I really want to hate you." Kira said to his brother as they continued to walk up the flights of stairs. "For some reason though, I don't know why I can't hate you. I wonder what that reason is." Kira said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Shin looked at his brother and smirked. He loves his younger brother and is only having fun when he teases Kira. Shin didn't mean any harm. "Maybe you should hate me then." he said as he looked at Kira teasingly. "And what do you mean you wonder what that reason is?! Come on, Kira! You know that I'm only teasing you, little brother.

The two brothers soon reached the top of the stairs where, they saw both the door to the Koorikage's office open and a ninja running down the stairs. Kira and Shin both looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. Shin walked into the office first with Kira not far behind. "Koorikage, sir I was wondering........" Shin said before he stopped. Kira accidentally bumped into the back of Shin and then rubbed his nose.

"Ow! Shin why did you stop? And what are you looking at?" he asked as he walked from behind Shin to see what he was looking at. Once Kira saw who it was, he rolled his eyes and sighed. "Great.....! It's Taichi. That idiot is so loud. He needs to quiet down a little." he said under his breath. After a few moments, both Shin and Kira ignored the fact that Taichi was in the room and said their hellos to the Koorikage and Yukiko.

"Hello, Koorikage, sir. Hello Yukiko." Kira said.
"Hello, Koorikage. Hello Yukiko. How are you today?"asked Shin

Right after the ice sphere hit the intended target, Yukiko was finally released from her father's grasp before she took a few steps away from him. She straightened herself out as she looked around the room-- Taichi was rubbing his now bruised forehead, while Kain was in a ridiculous pose. Yukiko sighed-- Was she the only sane one here?

She crossed her arms as she turned to answer Taichi's question.

"You talk too much." she said simply. Then, as if on cue, two people entered the room as they spoke about the loudness in the room. Yukiko turned to the door to see the Katsura brothers saying their hellos.

The kunoichi smiled kindly. The serious expression that was always on her face seemed to have faded away as it was replaced with a smile-- one that slightly resembled that of a child's.

Yukiko gave the two a slight wave.

"Why, hello there." she said. She liked these two-- they were two of the few good friends she had.

Yukiko looked at Kira. It was rare to see him outside instead of in his room all the time.

"Kira, it's good to see you out here for once!"
