Hana stood by silently as her younger brother decided to tell his own story. She smiled lightly and patted his head. Someone else also appears to be a little fussy at the moment.

"Ah... Someone's a little cranky..." she said as she ruffled Keiichi's hair. She then turned to the rest of the room. It really was getting late, and it would be a good idea to get the boy home soon. Hana bowed her head to the kage before speaking again.

"Actually Niwakage-sama, I think I'll take Chi-chan home first. Little boys need their sleep after all!" She turned to the door and led her brother out, but before leaving, she added, "Oh, and so do the adults in this room. I'll be back in the morning to help out, and hopefully everyone would be in a better mood after a goof night's sleep! Well, good night!" With that, she left the office with Keiichi.

[[ Arriving from Main Village ]]

The next morning, Hana would be found wandering the bewildering corridors of the Niwakage's office, with her trademark picnic basket in her hand. She appeared to be quite content with coming here everyday. She always had that smile on her face as she hummed a soft tune to herself, while going to the kage's room. She never really minded doing some work for him; it always beats doing missions with her friend, Haru.

Upon arriving at the office, the first thing the Koubashii chuunin found was her pink-haired partner sprawled out on the floor. At first, she was in a slight panic since she thought the Niwakage had finally cracked and killed the annoying boy. And then a second thought came to mind-- he would never do that! Upon closer inspection, the girl realized that Haru had just gone to sleep.

Hana walked over and knelt down next to him, poking at his shoulder after putting down her basket full of goodies.

"Neh? Haru-kun?" she asked softly as she wondered if he would wake up. She then glanced around the room to find that the ceiling had been fix, and every piece of paper that had fallen off of the desk in the night before was back on a brand new desk, all stacked up and neat. Hana smiled at the site before looking down at the sleeping jounin. He must of been up all night fixing up the kage's office.

... Then again, she could be wrong...

Letting the exhausted jounin rest up a bit, Hana stood up and went over to the covered window. Although she could tell that the room was clean, it was still a bit dark since the shades were down. It was a bit strange, actually. The Niwakage would always let the sun light in through his office windows the second dawn would peek over the horizon. Why did he not let the flowers get their morning sunshine today?

The kunoichi pulled the blinds up, letting the warmth of the sun hit her face. She smiled upon looking out at the eastern section of Kadan. The village was such a beautiful view from this room! The scene just made her want to leave the building right away and just take a walk around the many gardens all day.

That calm yet cheery expression on her face became a questionable one as she felt something sticky on her hand after letting go of the blinds. She looked at it, seeing a bright shade of red painted over her palm. Hana was a little shocked. At first, she thought she had cut her hand without even knowing it, but she felt no pain, and her skin was perfectly fine.

Looking back at the window in front of her, she could see that the glass was spotless. However, she could not say the same for the white shades and the wall beside the window. There were blotches of red on them, the same shade that was on her hand at this very moment. Hana was speechless for a moment before the same thought she had earlier came back into her mind. Perhaps the Niwakage did get fed up with Haru and actually tried to hurt him? Maybe the pink-haired jounin was not sleeping, but actually dying. But no... Niwakage-sama would not do that, would he...? There was no way....

Her thoughts were interupted when she heard a voice--Haru's voice-- asking her how she was. He sounded perfectly fine, so was her assumption incorrect? It has to be! But why was there blood all over the walls...?

Hana turned around slowly, half-fearing of what she may see once she looked at her friend. In this short moment, all she could think of was what might have happened in the office, and where was Yatsuuko-sama?

Upon viewing the appearance of Haru, a shreik nearly escaped her throat. He was completely covered in blood, and there were very large bones on the floor next to him. They were way too big to be bones from any meat that is usually eaten for breakfast.

"H-Haru-kun... What..." Hana's voice squeked slightly as she spoke. She was a bit frightened, and horribly confused.

It took a while, but the kunoichi finally swallowed and got her voice back to normal.

"Haru-kun, what on earth happened here?!"

Hana only watched Haru, her eyes wide in shock, as he spoke. The jounin was wearing the kage's once clean robes, now drenched in blood just as everything else in the room was. Why has she not noticed any of this when she came into the room? Actually, why did no one seem to have payed any attention to it? With the blood, bones, and flesh scattered across the room, there would surely have been some loud commotion coming from the office that others should hear--unless someone randomly decided to come up and place them in the Niwakage's office as a sick prank.

As the man spoke, the kunoichi could not help but study his current image. Aside from his clothes, his teeth were also painted a crimson color. He was using a small bone as a tooth pick to pick small pieces of meat out from between his teeth. For the first time since she had arrived in the building, Hana felt like vomiting. Not only did Haru's actions disgust her, but he also looked like a mad man.

The way Haru spoke was making the female chuunin slightly irritated. He was acting as if the scenery in the office was nothing, as if it really was a joke. She wanted him to get to the point and directly tell her what had happened already. She got her wish, however--just after he had walked past her as he spoke his last words.

Just before the pink-haired jounin would be able to leave the room, a single kunai zoomed right past his his and took a few strands of hair with it, penetrating the wall outside of the door. Behind him, Hana stood, with a scowl on her face and another kunai on her hand as if she were threatening to hit him with her next throw.

"Haru..." she said through her gritted teeth. Her voice was soft, yet menacing. It was very rare to see the girl with this angry expression. In fact, Haru was probably the very first one that made her behave in such a way.

Hana moved her kunai up, getting ready to throw it when she would need to. She continued, her words slow and filled with anger.

"What... Did you do to him?"

Naruto: Tales of Iwagakure

Hana was not very pleased with the reply she recieved from the madman. Sure, Haru was acting like the mentally ill friend she has always known since her promotion to being a genin, but this was definitely not the time for that kind of behavior--not for her at least. She was getting more and more irritated as she tried to talk seriously to him. For the first time in her life, she wanted to rip that pink hair off with her bare hands.

And, oh goodness! He could have stopped at the hair, but no. Haru decided to continue speaking, this time, about Hana's appearance. She caught him staring intently at her, and she could not help but step back slightly as she crossed her arms over her chest, a kunai still in her hand. Then... He asked her out on a date... Was this a joke?!

"Shut up, Haru! Just shut up!" the kunoichi shouted as she gripped her kunai harder. If she held it any harder, it could start bending, or even break with her kind of strangth.

"You're lying about Niwakage-sama! He loves his village too much to just leave like that! And he especially won't leave his position to the likes of you!"
