The Ground Level

Large clearings, each surrounded by a thick wall of trees, serves as the training grounds for Kozue. There are quite a few of them spread out under the village.

"Pull!" A young looking man shouted as a bow appeared in his right hand. In a flash the string was pulled to length as a blue chakra arrow appeared across it. "Kujikumasuto: Junni!" He said as he released the arrow, causing it to break into twelve arrows on different paths, making contact with all 12 of the released targets, shattering them. "Not to bad." He said to himself lowering his bow before it disappeared in a puff of smoke.

:Note: Kujikumasuto - Shattermast (allows the released chakra arrow to split into any number of seperate arrows. (if chakra limit allows for such number ).

In her mind, Minori pretended this was the most important mission in her life. All she really had to do was retrieve an arm that belonged to Naoki’s puppet, but acting as if this were a matter of like or death was a lot more fun.

The child climbed down a ladder that was attached to the base of a tree, ending up at one of the various training fields under the village. She looked around, seeing nothing but trees and leaves; and hearing nothing but the chirping birds, the sound of rustling leaves, and..

”Pull!”

The sound of a distant voice made Minori snap her head toward the direction it was coming from. There was someone else occupying one of the other clearings at the moment, and the girl thought that person might have seen an arm floating around.

The Yuka child ran toward the source of the voice, stopping behind a large tree instead of stepping out into the other clearing. She signaled Saya to stop, assuming that the young woman was following her.

In the clearing was a much older man—someone whom Minori knows as Tamotsu, Akira. He was the only other person that knew about the kage’s secret, and Minori would often try to ambush him out of boredom and the need to train.

The trick he did just now was pretty nifty; that chakra arrow was amazing! Smiling, the little Minori silently climbed up the tree and hid in the leaves for the next plan of attack.

”Heeya!” Minori’s cry could be heard as she jumped from a low-hanging branch, flying over the chuunin with a couple of leaves in and twigs in her hands. She chucked them at Akira as she was still in midair.

Saya climbed down the ladder at a moderate pace, not too slow as to lose the arm though. Minori was probably almost down there now, she seemed rather enthusiastic for the simple mission – which not unlike the ones given to new Genin. Mind you, she was an Academy Student, they all had their naïve optimism…

The chuunin’s happiness had seemed to wear off somewhat, allowing some cynicism to return. She returned her attention to the ladder – she was near the bottom no-

"Kujikumasuto: Junni!" A loud crashing noise pierced her thoughts, as she quickly turned her head to the sound. Some ninja was down there… She couldn’t make it out… Instinctively she glanced at Minori, who was running towards the noise. Wait! The younger girl was gesturing something…To stop?

Saya, although confused, halted her descend of the ladder. As she was about to question Minori and chase after her, a loud voice broke her concentration.

“Heeya!” Minori was so loud! Not an ideal trait for those who were supposed to stealthy, but seeing as the girl obviously knew the ninja Saya calmed slightly. But still, distractions were unneeded… Maybe the ninja had seen the arm? She’d have to ask him or her once Minori signalled that she could come. Why did she have to stop her on the ladder? She couldn’t hold on forever.
