Terra eyed the large guy with much distaste. He was twice his size and just as ugly as the old man. She was so tempted to stick her tongue out and ask him to "take a chill pill". The guy looked so uptight like he didn't have a sense of humor at all. But the one she referred to as 'old man' moved from just that, to grandpa because that's what he reminded her so much of.
Terra scrunched up her nose a little at the mention of tea- not in a rude manner, but to show a little disgust.

"I don't like tea thanks. But if you have hot cocoa, that would do nicely. it's a little chilly in here, haven't you guys ever heard of heat?"

She shivered a little and rubbed her arms as her eyes moved about the room again. She was very impressd with the room; grandpa had good taste, she'd definatly give him that. And when he motioned for them to sit down, she was all to greatful. Her feet pounded and pulsed with soreness of travel; she had been walking all day and ahad planned to rest in the village she was just in.

While The Kage and the young girl were speaking to each other Hyoujin pulled out his bow which he had damaged in the last fight.
He felt along the curve for any imperfections, as his fingers were almost to the end he felt where a piece had chipped off.
His eyes began to glow blueish purple as a bright teal orb began to form around his hands and the damaged part of the bow.
He then put the bow back into its home on his back and tapped it in.

"Nothing like a perfect bow"
Hyoujin said smiling at the Umikage.

Hyoujin then made his way over to the empty chair next to the young ninja he had just escorted to the office.

The Lord Umikage nodded and smiled warmly as the young mas sat down across from him. Once everyone was seated and comfortable the old man began to speak once more.
"Now I do believe proper introductions are in order, it is only civilized." he said in a soft warm tone as he removed a long pipe from within his robes.
"I am Yasuo Hokousha, Lord and Umikage of this village of Suichuugakure. You are?" He smiled with a polite warmth as he motioned to the young woman.

He knew full well who she was, but he did enjoy formalities and was doing his very best to make the young lady comfortable.

Terra knew what the old grandpa was doing - she had a feeling this geezer knew who she was, otherwise why send for her. She wanted to know why this 'Umikage' wanted her to be here so badly and most of all; why her?

"Grandpa, you know who I am, otherwise, why send for me? Unless you put a bunch of pictures in a hat and drew one of them out randomly, then there must be a specific reason. I know you're trying be nice and all, but let's cut to the chase - whaddya want from me?"

Her face showed a slight bit impatience; she hated formalities. But atleast she knew who the old man was. Now if only he would inform her of the information she needed to know- like why she is here and why grandpa sent the ninja to fetch her. She shook her head side to side with too much confusion running around inside her brain.

A slight smile spread across the old Umikages face as he listened to the girls speak. She was sharp just has he had hoped.
Her directness could be a problem in the long run, but he would have to make due.

The large man returned to the room carrying a pinkish coral tray, on top of which were several tea cups, a kettle, and a small pouch filled with a dark brown powder. He was so large that he had to go down on one knee to place the tray on the table. He then placed a tea bag in two of the cups, then taking the small pouch in his hand he poured a bit of the brown powder into the third cup. After this was finished he picked up the stone kettle and poured the boiling water within into the three cups. After he was finished he handed on of the tea cups to his master on a coral saucer and slowly stood up taking his place beside the old man.

"Thank you my friend." The kage said to the large man as he stirred the tea.
After staring into the cup for a moment he spoke again.
"Please help yourselves." He took a small sip of the hot liquid contained in his cup before continuing.

"Now, back to business. You are indeed correct, I do know who you are. This is not all however, I know a great deal more. For example how your father died." His voice was soft and warm as he spoke this, no hint of anything that could be misconstrued as threatening in any way. He paused for a moment to let this sink in.

Terra nearly choked on her cocoa at the mention of her father. HOw could this old guy know about him? Her father really wasn't well known, but then again in his line of work it was his priority to make it so.

"How do you know my father?"

She asked in a demanding tone. She didn't care if she sounded rude at that moment. All those who knew her father were either within her family, dead, or people he worked for. Perhaps this grandpa hired her father as a hitman for someone? And if so she wondered who and why? Not that it was really that important, but even she didn't know her own father that much. Terra was still very young when her parents were killed by the same assassin group her father tried to leave. It was part of a sort of hidden code she discovered. So it said; any one that left the congregation would have their lives taken along with their family. This was to protect any secrets they may have. Being the only one left of her father's family, Terra had stayed on the run not only to protect her own life, but to avenge the death of her family.

This was precisely what he had expected. She was anxiousness to learn about her father. Just as any wayward child would have been.
He allowed silence to fill the room for a moment longer before he replied.

"You must listen more closely young one. I said I knew of your father. I never said I knew him. However, I do know a great deal. For example, how he was killed as well as why. This, however, is not why I brought you here. I brought you here to make you an offer." He paused once more and took a small sip of his tea, studying the look on the young womans face.

At mention of the offer the large man behind the Lord Umikage moved once more. He ponderously walked to the large stone desk on the other side of the room and took up an old look roll of paper. Slowly turning he brought it back and handed it to his master who simply sat there in silence, waiting for a response.

And that was where she stopped; the offer. Terra knew right then that she was being suckered into something, though what this man knew abotu her father's death was something she was already aware of... Because she was there when it happend.

" No need to tell me that grandpa. I already know how my father died and by whom. I usually work alone unless there's money involved..."

Being an assassin was in her blood, though she wasn't skilled. A lot of times she was sent as a spy because she looked so defenseless that nearly everyone she met had underestimated and even tried to take advantage of her. She wasn't going to let that happen with this geezer. True she would take the money and maybe attempt this so-called mission, but if things were not to go according to plan or fall out of her favor she would abandon it. Terra wouldn't call it running, she'd rather say she was looking out for herself. There were more important things than to get her neck chopped to pieces by someone she never knew- muchless even her personal target.
What really struck her interest was if someone knew the whereabouts of her enemy; only then would they have her full attention. She planned to take them out one by one; making their numbers weaker and weaker until they were defenseless- just as she had felt back then.

"So try to tell me something I don't know Umikage... Only if you know the whereabouts of my father's murderer or if you have a large sum of gold in those shabby robes of yours would you have my full attention."

Upon listening to what the young woman had to say a small smile began to form on the edge of the old mans mouth. He took one last sip of tea before setting the cup and saucer back on the table.
After yet another moment of silence he continued.
"It would seem we have an accord then. You see, I do in fact know the location of you fathers killer. However, as you are now you would have no chance of defeating him." He took a moment to light his pipe and take a few short puffs of it. The smell of burning tobacco filled the room.
"I shall teach you how to beat this man and even tell you his location. You need only do one thing for me."

He paused and took another drag from his long pipe, waiting for her response.

Terra was all too eager to start, but first she wanted proof.

"You tell me the location and you name your price gramps."

She wanted to hear where her father's killer was hidden before she did any favors for this guy. Most would hang something in your face you wanted so badily, and then when you did what you were asked, they claimed not to know anything. Terra wanted to make sure this was genuine before she made any deals.

The old man took one final pull from the long pipe and then set it to the side.
He exhaled slowly, the gray white smoke gathering above him like a thought cloud. The shadows dancing though the room formed a dark web on its light surface.
Lord Umikage spoke once more, his voice soft and warm.

"I shall tell you the location of this man. Do not, however, believe that you can defeat him as you are now. He has much experience in the field of battle and if you were to face him at this time he would easily rend you apart. Give me time and I shall help you become strong enough to defeat him." He paused once more, allowing silence to fill the room.

His thoughts wandered for a moment. Would this young woman wait, or would she blindly rush into battle. This aspect of her, at least, was unpredictable. On one hand she was full of the will to avenge her lost family. On the other, she was no idiot.
For now he would give her a token of faith.

"The man you seek resides in the hidden village of Arashigakure, a storm tossed island off of the main coast. He is one of the many residence that call the place home. Its remote location, along with it's sheer difficulty to reach, makes it a haven for those not wishing to be found."
He had given her the information she needed. While she did not know exactly who she was looking for, the rest was up to her.
Would she rush into battle with some unknown foe, or stay and accept the old Kages gift of knowledge.

Terra smirked at the information. The room smelled sweet of the substance this guy smoked. Her father never smoked tobacco, so she had no idea what was in the pipe.

She also noted the little bit that lacked in the information he gave her and wondered why he failed to mention it.

"And... A name would be nice to go with this identity?"

She was no fool as Umikage thought. Terra wouldn't be that stupid to rush into a battle. She knew she was weak and hadn't had much experience in train or battle. Now was not the time for just revenge; she wanted to make his death a slow and painful one. Terra wanted to be sure that this person- who ever it may be- would feel the pain her family went through along with everyone else they may have killed.

"Help me out old man, and I may help you."

If she got what she wanted, Terra just might go through with this. But this info had to be fore real. She considered going into this village and seeing for herself. But if this place is surrounded by storm, Terra wondered just how she would get there should she go alone.

That's a little hopeless...

Without the proper ninjutsu and strength, Terra knew she'd be a gonner.

The old mans face showed a small smirk. This girl was stubborn, but his plan was not going to change. He had a certain goal in mind and if she did not wish to be part of it willingly then he was more than ready to do things the hard way.

"I am sorry my dear," he said in a soft neutral tone, "but thats not how things work around here.
You see I have just given you a sign of my faith in you, whether or not you choose to except it is up to you. However, it is now your turn to extend a token."

He was not going to let her know more than she needed to at this moment. As things stood he did not know whether or not he could trust her. However, it was not as if she could leave the village. They were several miles under the surface of the water and without any special training she would not be able to leave the village without assistance. The sheer pressure of the ocean would crush her if she tried.
He had her right were he needed her, and there was little she could do about it.

Damn... The old freak has me cornered. If I don't do what he wants, I'll never find the bastard that killed my father... Screw it.

"Then name your price old timer...."

She said just before she downed the rest of her hot cocoa and set the tea cup upon the desk with a little more force than necessary. She was a bit angry because she saw no way out of this one. Normally she could talk and wiggle her way out of any situation that she wanted to... This old Kage guy seemed to know a bit more about her than what he was revealing. Perhaps she would do a bit of spying on him later if shwe could weazel a way into staying the night in this damp village. Why any one would want to live down here was beyond her. Personally she prefered the sun and fresh air, not the fishy smell and darkness only the ocean had to offer. The only thing this village had going for them was their taste in style- that was about it.

The old Kage gave a slight smile as he realized that the young woman was finally seeing the big picture.
Now that she had excepted the fact that she really had little choice in the matter things would be much easier.
He leaned forward and shrugged a bit, "I do not ask for much really. I simply ask that while you are in Arashi that you retrieve a certain item for me. That is all."
He slid back in his seat and arced his fingers in front of him.
"In return I will give you the name and face of you enemy and even teach you how to defeat him. This is my price, take it or leave it."

The room was quiet as everyone waited for her response.
