Academy

Subject: Academy Mon Oct 08, 2007 4:27 pm

Those who want to grow up to be a shinobi will be enrolled into Tenpi's Academy. It is a fairly large building. It had its own training field outside, as well as a training room inside of the building for rainy days. There is also a grassy area at one side of the building for recess, having a small playground and a tire swing. The rooms, like most Academies, are slanted, the rows of desks being stacked so each student will be able to see their teacher easily, and vise versa.

The sound of the sliding door was heard as the new team one entered their former classroom. Walking to the center of the room in front of the chalkboard, Sayuri looked around to find that no one was in there but them. They must have been early, or maybe their jounin sensei is running a little late. The konoichi turned around to see Otikaru, but someone was missing.

"Hey, where'd Minato go?" she asked. The hyperactive boy was with them blabbering on about something just a while ago, and he suddenly disappears.

"He was saying something about his gramps telling him about Natsuo." He said shrugging. "Probably didn't realize we left." He said shaking his head.

"Then that'll be the first thing I pound into your heads." A voice said as a puff of smoke appeared in the back of the class. "You two will learn to wait until everyone from your team is ready, and Minato will learn to focus himself better." He said closing his eyes smirking a little. "With that said. My names Shijuu Natsuo, or Beniirogenko No Natsuo you might know me as." He said giving them a nod. "But you're to call me Sensai."

"I'm comingggggggggg!" Exclaimed Minato as he ran as fast as he could to catch up to Sayuri and Karu. He passed many other students and almost ran into some too. Whoo, talk about a sugar rush.....anyways before he entered the classroom, the door was closed so it's owie time. Minato crashed into the closed sliding door with a very loud thud. Then he very slowly opened the slide door and told them gibberishly, "I..I'm O..okay............"

Natsuo shook his head sighing. "The one year I agree to be a group leader." He said sighing. "And I get the headache group."

When their sensei poofed in, Sayuri was seated on top of one of the desks. It was not that she and Otikaru did not know how to wait. She, herself, actually thought Minato was following them, and she had not really noticed he was gone since she was not listening to her blabbering team mate. She did not know about Otikaru though.

Upon hearing the loud thud, she turned her head to the source of the sound, which was the door. Looks like Minato had finally decided to join them, and run into things as usual. Sayuri wondered how anyone can run into a door, knowing it was closed.

She then turned to their new sensei to reply to him.

"Ha... Some first impression we made..." she said, mainly to Otikaru and Minato. "Sensei, we're not always like this... I hope..." Again, she directed the last part of the sentence to her two team mates.

"Hey now." Otikaru said returning Sayuri's look. "I'm not the only one who didn't know that Minato wasn't following us." He said turning his head to Minato. "And we really need to work on your entrances buddy."

Natsuo smirked. "Don't worry about the first impression. I wasn't expecting much better." He said shrugging. "I remember the other two people in my group being the same way." He said his smirk getting a bit bigger. "And one of those two is currently our Kage."

"What? Are you saying that Nisshoukage-sama actually behaved like these two goofballs?" Sayuri asked as she pointed to Minato and Otikaru. It was a bit difficult to believe that since the kage acted nothing like her two team mates. The kage was a bit serious than most, and the two boys were always found doing something pointless.

"Hey. I'm not a goofball." Otikaru said in reply. "I just enjoy the fun of life, and I don't let everything push me into someone serious all the time to where they lose that sense." He said shrugging.

"And you my boy, would be just like the Kage." Natsuo said walking over to the three. "That was her exact way to look at things when she was younger. She still has it now, she just doesn't have the chance to show it as much because of her position."

"Yeah, I do, don't it?" Minato responded, after getting himself together to Karu's remark, "Oh so this is our sensei? Wow! So cool!"

Minato soon turned to Sayuri after his little jig to answer her question, "Hey, I love being a goofball! As long as you try your best in life, you can do anything you want! Right Karu?"

"That's right." He said nodding.

"As touching as this little moment is." Natsuo said folding his arms. "But let's get back on target. I'm not going to have you three go off on some training exercise at the moment, BUT, I do want to know what each of you think you excel in, and could need some work in." He said turning his eyes to Sayuri. "You first."

"Me? Okay well..." Sayuri started as she began to ponder over what she should say. She swung her feet as she stayed seated on top of the desk as she spoke. "Well, I've been told that I was pretty good with weapons and explosives, and hope I can create my own bombs some day. My highest grade back here, at the Academy, was probably ninjutsu, but our former chuunin sensei says I should practice a bit of my taijutsu more."

Natsuo nodded rubbing his chin. "If you did well with Ninjutsu in Academy, you're best bet would be to practice when you can with how you control your Chakra flow. As for your Taijutsu I could help you along with that greatly." He smirked. "And bombs. Bombs I can teach you a little on. I did some studying on them to try and learn ways to incoorperate exploding powders into my Nekode." He smiled and crossed his arms. "That'll be a blast, no pun intended, and now you Minato." He said staring at the Shinobi.

"Watching things explode is fun! After watching Sayuri train with bombs, I got so interested that Gramps had to pry me off the books on how to make the bombs!" Minato smiled.

"Unless their innocent animals......." He added and then took his turn to speak.

"Welllllll....." Minato started, "My best skill lies in Taijutsu and using my Shinobi Zue, which my Gramps has right now. We need to touch it up and stuff. My weakest would have to be Ninjutsu cause I need two hands for my weapon and I need two free hands to form seals."

"Shinobi-Zue." He said with a little nod. "Not a common thing for many Shinobi to use, depending on what you have hidden in it, and how you're reaction and knowledge to use them and pull them out at the right time." He rubbed his chin. "As for the hand seals, we can find a way to incoorperate Ninjutsu style moves into your weapons like I do." He nodded again. "You'll be a fun one to work with, and now you Otikaru." He said turning his eyes to the last of the three Shinobi.

"Hmm. Well, I'm good at Ninjutsu, I have a large Chakra supply and a great amount of control over it, and I'm a good Taijutsu user, but I work best with Taijutsu with a Sword, to work wind jutsu through." He said scratching his head. "I'm horrible at Genjutsu, I can barely do the simplest move from it, and I'm bad with most common Shinobi Weapons. I'm also good with thinking through things and assessing situations."

"Interesting." He said scratching his head. "Genjutsu I don't think we'll have to work with, though I will have to teach you to recognize when you're under one, and how to break it without inflicting pain on yourself." He crossed his arms again. "And I'm assuming by basic Shinobi Weapons you mean Kunai and Shurikan, which we'll have to work with a lot, since you can't always count on your sword, or wind jutsu to save you."
