Higa's Goods and Weapons

Higa's Goods and Weapons is probably the number one place to find the best weapons available in Tenpi, as well as the whole region. Many weapons are displayed in a long glass case, while things such as swords, gunsen, and the like are hung on the wall. The second level of this building is the home of Kokoro, Minato.

"I did over do it, didn't I? But my teammates are over and stuff so I couldn't make a little bit!" Minato said happily!

"Ah, brat?" Higa asked Minato.

"What Gramps?" Minato answered, "Hey where's Sayuri?"

"That's was I was going to tell you, she left before you ran off....." Higa told him.

"Really? That's too bad, then I'll wrap it up for her later, if we have any leftover we can give it to Sensei!" Minato was disappointed for a moment but that great, big, awesome idea popped into his head! ^^ "Anyways, LET"S DIG IN!"

"....Only him...." Smiled Higa as he sat down on the table. "Come on Karu, Minato's food isn't bad till after you taste it!"

"Oh than.....HEY WHAT? OLD MAN, IT'S NOT THAT BAD!"

"I'm sure it's not as bad as you think at all." He said sitting down, starting to eat the plate of food. "Besides," He said between a mouthful of food, "Anything tastes good when your hungry, and hoping to rely on the energy it'll give you." He said smirking, returning his attention to the food, not saying another word until he was finished.

"All right then, let's dig in!" Minato exclaimed and dug in his food. Hopefully his cooking was okay, Gramps always jokes so I don't really know if he likes it or not. But I can cook unlike him, probably can find a way to boil water >>

Timejump to leave to the team.

"Hey it's almost time Karu, let's go to our meeting place!" Minato told him happily.

"Good luck Minato! Make me proud you brat! You too Karu!" Higa said, patting Minato on the head.

"Oh yeah! I need to get my weapon, wait a minute." Minato said, running back to his room, grabbed his weapon and tied it to his back. "Let's go!"

And of course, he hits the door...well not really. Higa remembered to open it this time and Minato's weapon got stuck on the door. Higa sweatdropped as Minato got his bearing straight.

"Now, we go." Minato tells them while hiding another blush.

Karu nodded. "Thank you Mr. Higa." He said giving the old man a bow before turning out towards the door behind Minota.

"Slow down you hyper active sugar addict." He said yawning a little.

"Well, now that Minato's gone I can work in peace." Grinned Higa. "There is the prize for the tournament I have to prepare for. Ha! Knowing Minato he's going lose~!"

After some peaceful time of working, Higa decides to go and eat since Minato's not home and he can't really cook. >>

"YumYumBBQ sounds good! I'll go there!" Higa said and got ready to leave. On his way, he sees some flyers about some people looking for a job and takes one of them.

"I'll look when I get to the restaurant. Foodddd." Higa told himself.

"Hm? The door's open....WAAAH! I forgot to lock the door again!" Higa exclaimed and ran into his store. But to his surprise he spots Karu looking around. Higa sweatdrops in embarrassment and greeted, "Oh, hi Karu. Fancy seeing you here, shouldn't you be at the Festival right now?"

"I actually stopped by to ask you if you could do something for me before I headed home." He said yawning a little bit. "Sadly the festival is gonna end up starting a day later for me, I haven't slept much in the past two days." He said scratching his head a little.

"Sure, no problem, I have plenty of time to spare. I'm staying here until tomorrow anyway. The dango contest is today so Minato probably signed up for it. And knowing that grandson of mine, he might get sick or something whether it was the dango or not. So I'm going to see if I have to finish some work and wait for phone calls," Higa happily answered.

"Great." Karu said setting his box down before he undid the tie that held his swords sheath on his back and drew out the sword. "Do you think there's something that can be done so that if I use my sword for a wind jutsu, and it gives a kind of backlash from the force of the wind, it won't push the sword hard enough to tear skin?" He said holding the blade with his bandaged hand. "I can't find a way to hold it so that the force won't do it otherwise."

"Hmmm, it's possible, but I don't know much about it. I'll do some research for you and if you find any shinobi with your affinity, ask them. If they can give me the instructions for it, I'll happily help you out. Don't worry about a thing Karu," Higa answered as he stared at Karu's weapon.

Later, after Karu left. Minato come home with a stomachache and so he didn't win the common dango competition. Higa took his grandson to bed with some medication before turning in himself.

"....I'll...try harder...next time...." Minato mumbled in his sleep from the medication. Higa smiled and quietly left the room, for once not feeling the need to tease Minato.

The Next day...

"Morning Gramps!" Minato exclaimed as he went downstairs to make some breakfast for him and his Gramps.

"Oh god, you're awake..aren't you suppose to be sick still...I was sleeping well too..." Grumbled Higa as he reluctantly woke up, "So what are we having today?"

"Yeah, yeah. We're having pancakes," Minato told his grandpa.

"Okay..." Higa started but he snoozed off later.

Minato finishes making breakfast and they eat. Soon Minato finishes and puts his plate in the sink and he got ready to leave.

"Hey, I'm going out to find Karu and Sayuri to hang out with,"

"All right, stay away from dango for a few days,"

"Yeah, yeah. See ya," And he left.

((Minato coming from Sunny Hills))

"Hey Gramps, I'm back!" Minato called out to the surprisingly empty store. A yell is heard along with many thuds to the ground. Minato ran towards to the sound and cried, "Crap, I didn't kill Gramps now did I? You okay?!"

He sees his grandfather on the floor with many books around him. Karu's sword is found unsheathed and laying on the table.

"Ow, ow......no but this pile of bones is still all right..." Higa told him as he rubbed the back of his head, " I was just doing some reading for something and relaxed until your loud voice surprised me......again."

"Oh, heh heh, my bad...." Apologized Minato, "Anyways whatcha doing with Karu's sword?"

"Well that's what I was doing some reading for, Karu had some trouble with his sword so I'm seeing is I can do anything about him. Those books helped me too, so I'm going to start working on it. Means you don't bug me and go hang out with your teammates who are better than you," Grinned Higa.

"Ha ha, very funny," Pouted Minato, "I'm going to my room for awhile, then I'm going out. Don't work yourself to hard Gramps," And he left.

"Okay! Time to work!" Higa exclaimed and started to see what he can do for Karu's weapon.

Karu walked along the village streets watching all the people enjoying the festival. "Hmm, I think I'll check up on my sword before I head home." He said as he turned a corner heading towards the weapon shop.

When he got to the door, he opened it slightly looking inside, noticing no one was in the front area. "Hello, is anyone here?" He called out walking towards the counter.
