The Cemetery

Despite the Sun Village being a beautiful and happy place, this area of the village just seems a bit gloomy. This is the cemetery. Those who have loved ones that had passed away come here for a visit. Tombs of all shapes and sizes are lined up in rows. The cemetery is surrounded by a fence, which is lined by a long bed of flowers to five the graveyard a calm, peaceful appearance.

The day had transgressed to night as Shugo walked down the paved path of the cemetery. It was strange that no one really saw the place at night; probably since it seemed out of place compared to the other parts of the Village Hidden in the Sun. The wild grass growing around the stone markers of those lost gave the graves a natural, unpredictable touch. Somewhat like the dead could have just popped out from their coffins and begin having a picnic. The few cherry blossom trees there were still in bloom and emitted a glow in the dark of night.

"Mysteriously creepy, but still beautiful in it's own right. I better save this to share later."

Hazel eyes gazed solemnly at the dusty grass of the cemetary, then changed to watch the dark grave stone, tears floating to her eyes. Tayra kicked at a rock silently, as the drips of water trailed down her cheek. The gravestone said nothing on it at all, not even a name, but she knew who was buried there. Her older sister, Karim. Karim died at eight, when Tayra was six, from a mass murder, and they buried her without a name, because the girl was too deformed. Tayra was the only one who knew. The only one who was there to watch her sister die.
The tears stained the ground, and Tayra wiped at her eyes, trying to push the tears away. She turned around, shivering. "It's time to go..." She whispered to herself softly. Then, she walked away.

Leaning against the side of a tall tombstone Luci took a drag off his cowboy killer, a small smile on his face as he exhaled, blue eyes watching the silent, unmoving area, full of corpses beneath the earth. Pushing himself off the stone the pale teen made a small 'hmpf' noise at the sudden movement, smoking a bit while walking towards the beaten path in the graveyard. Chuckling a bit he threw his butt to the ground, stomping it out on a grave, not noticing the name or how rude it was of a gesture, before continuing on towards the path. Stopping near the gate he looked back at where he came from and frowned a bit before exiting the premises.

The white haired man sat infront of a grave with his head down. "It would appear your guards are quite well trained." He said lifting his head up from looking at the grave. "While I'm not surprised, I was quite fooled." He said standing up with a grin on his face.

"Did you expect me to have them follow you when you entered the village?" Natsuo said jokingly. "Why would I let them have the opportunity to welcome you back to the village first, and Hanoka will be coming along soon, she's in a meeting with two Genin." He said walking up to him. "It's good to see you again Chiri, it's been far to long." He added patting on his shoulder.

"That it has, that it has." He said turning around giving Natsuo a smile. "It's damn well good to be back, but I hate knowing I can't say for how long." He said shaking his head. "I'm affraid my coming might have compromised the village's safety."

"Now don't go accusing yourself of that." He said crossing his arms. "Keep in mind, you're not the only member of this village that has something people will want, besides, there was a report of two people attacking a new Genin group transfering one of the relics to Suichuu. Luckily, they didn't get what they wanted."

"Understandable." Chiri said turning towards Natsuo. "But what to do about the people who've some into the village. Surely they have some form of plan to get to me, and Hanoka, if they know yet that she to has one." He asked slightly curious. "I can only thing that comes to mind to stop them is to fight them, but then, we don't know the extent of there power, or what they'll be willing to do to win."

"That my dead friend..." He said as a grin apeared across his face. "I have an idea for. To keep you and Hanoka out of danger for the time being."

A while after dropping Kaguya genin off at his home, Hanoka could be seen talking a stroll down one of the many paths of the Sun Village. It was pretty late out, so why, of all times, did she decide to take a walk now? She could have instead gotten some much needed sleep.

She just happened to pass by the cemetery when she spotted two manly figures in the darkness of the night. The two appeared to be conversing about something. After looking closely, the kage smiled before she disappeared from the street in a blur.

"So what? You're just going to hang around this gloomy place instead of coming by my office?" Smiling down at the light haired man was Hanoka, who was seated on top of a tomb stone. "Long time, no see! It's been a while since the three of us were together in the same place. Too bad it had to be here first, though."

"I'm sorry Hanoka, It felt necessary to pay respects to our old teacher before anything. Since I couldn't make it back home for the funeral." Chiri said with a grin on his face scratching the back of his head. "And besides, Natsuo said you were busy with work, so I figured it was smarter to come here, so I wouldn't interrupt you."

"Hey now, don't pin this on me. I told you that after you were hear." Natsuo said chuckling a little. "But you did come just in time Hanoka."

The tall, black clad, man stood silently as he inspected his work. After a quick check against the small piece of parchment he held in his left hand he nodded in aproval.
"Just as the old man instructed." His voice was hollow and distant, the sound obscured by the mask he purpetually wore. He scanned the circle before him one last time before storing the scrap of parchment in his black garments.
He heard a muffled murmuring from behind him. Turning the tall man walked over to the young lady tide up against a rather large tombstone.
He knelt, "Now now," he said in a mocking and currious tone,"Just relax. I am not going to hurt you as long as you comply. He stood up and began to walk back to where he was formerly standing.
"Besides it is not you I am after." He spoke as his voice took on a very amussed tone as he finished.
"It's your boss." he said cheerfully.
Nimeis eyes widened in horror as she relized just what the strange man was saying.
'Oh god! Toshiro-san!'

"There we go," the dark man said as he knelt before the circle on the ground and began to form the hand seals he had been taught by the man who had hired him.
For a moment after he had finished all was silent for a moment before a slightly hollow sound could be heard.
A dark figure appeared in the circle, no features could be diserned.
"Is it done?" the shadow spoke in a hollow whisper.
The dark man nodded, "Yes master, phase one is complete."
The shadow simply nodded in approval.
