The boy sighed as he listened to the man speak, with his arms crossed. Even though he said he will not bring attention to himself, there was still a big chance that he will, knowing him. As the older man blabbed on, the blond placed the stolen slip back into his inside pocket before finally replying.

"Now, now... You're being a little pessimistic. It is actually quite possible to tag him without causing a disturbance, as long as we have Karei." He nodded and the raven-haired girl before turning his attention back to the man. "The only blood that will be spilled would be hers, hopefully. Karei is the only one who can place a permanent mark on our target, and after she does so, we'll be able to track him down with less difficulty as long as she's with us. Now you know what to do, and don't ever separate. We'll meet back at the inn tonight if we don't get much done."

With that, the blond man disappeared in a blur, leaving the girl known as Karei standing next to the gray-haired man. She simply looked up at him quietly, with her big crimson eyes, as she waited for him to lead the way.

The girl just stood as she heard the threat, her eyes gazing at the ground as she listened. Both she and the man knew that she could not be killed, for she was the one of the very few that could keep him stable. She finally looked up, seeing the blond leave and the older man heading toward the opposite direction. Looking back and forth between the two, Karei turned to follow the gray-haired man when a figure was caught at the corner of her eye. There was a woman, a familiar looking one in fact.

"E-Eto... Shente--" She turned her head to face the man she was with, who was now leaving her behind. Karei looked back toward the woman, knowing full-well that she was the one they had encountered a few weeks ago, along with three others who had a little too much to drink...

The girl could hear someone yelling at her, and she quickly spun around to find that the man was well ahead of her. With an inaudible apology escaping her lips, she ran to catch up to him.

Naruto: Tales of Iwagakure

"Waaah... So hoooot..." It was only mid-morning, and Yuni felt like she was about to pass out from the heat. It would really not be that warm to others, but the girl has never been to the surface before. She was very used to the cold climate they had underwater. She was always a fan of the sun, but that was until it actually beat down on her.

The Hanoumi genin lagged behind the group slightly as they made their way down a dirt path through the forest. She walked lazily, not wanting to sweat anymore than she already was—but every step she took made her feel more and more tired. Yuni should be energetic at this point—running around the forest while being excited about everything she saw—but it was a very long trip, and the girl was lacking sugar; which could possibly be her main and only energy source. Yuni with no cake might be good for the others, however. With her not being as hyperactive as she usually is, she was a lot easier to handle, and they would not have to track her down every five minutes.

How long have they been walking down this route? The group had taken off from the campsite before the crack of dawn, and everything looked the same. There was nothing but trees and more trees.

Ever since they left the clearing that was their camp, it was very silent. There was not much but a yes or a no from everyone. There were also some small sentences, but nothing that would start a good conversation. These people sure do like to be quiet.

Yuni sighed heavily as she adjusted her backpack, which was getting a little uncomfortable now because of the sweat that made the fabric stick to her pale skin. Her face was slightly flushed as she looked ahead, past the others in the group. Down the path, she spotted a slight silhouette. They had to walk a little closer before Yuni could figure out what it was. It was the large entrance to a village, and not just any village. The child assumed that is was Tenpigakure.

At the site of the gates, the girl’s exhaustion had instantly been forgotten as she smiled.

”Oh yay! We’re here! We’re here! Is that really the village?” she exclaimed. Without waiting for a reply, she ran to the front of the group, and appeared as if she were running straight toward the gates. ”I’ll race you there!”
